For more than two decades, Carolyn managed internal systems and strategies for franchise giant Subway under the direction of Fred DeLuca, the late co-founder and CEO of Subway restaurants. As Director of Special Projects for Subway, and Brand Manager for Subway subsidiary, Franchise Brands LLC, Bolton evaluated, acquired and integrated emerging business and franchise concepts into the infrastructure of the 40,000+ location enterprise.
Bolton brings to Dental Whale her extensive experience in business development, strategic partnerships, concept development, communication strategies, strategic thinking, planning and execution. Improving the health of growing businesses, and the personal and professional development of entrepreneurs across a variety of industry segments including restaurants, healthcare and technology, has been at the heart of Bolton’s career in franchising and launch into the dental industry.
Currently leading strategy for Dental Whale, Bolton has served as COO of Dental Fix, the equipment service and repair company owned by Dental Whale, with its origins in franchising. Carolyn has a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from the College of New Jersey and studied International Business in New South Wales, Australia.
Bolton also brings to the team empathy and responsiveness, which she displays as an active board member of Feeding South Florida. As a food bank for Feeding America, Feeding South Florida rescues over 50 million pounds of food annually and distributes it through a network of nearly 400 nonprofit partner agencies serving over 700,000 food-insecure residents in four counties. She also served on the Advisory Board of Nova Southeastern University’s International Institute of Franchise Education, helping entrepreneurs and emerging brands grow.
